Army Navy Country Club

Arlington, VA

The project at Army Navy Country Club included the renovation of all 27 holes at the Arlington, Virginia facility including all the construction of all golf features, the installation of a new irrigation system including a new pump station and a new major drainage network throughout the golf course.  Every bunker on the golf course was rebuilt, removed or constructed to reflect the Golden Age architecture from when the course was originally built, while utilizing modern design and equipment technology.  The transformation of the golf holes at Army Navy Country Club is the vision of golf course architect Richard Mandell, who we worked with very closely to be sure that every detail was tended to.

The main goals that were achieved by the execution of the project were to improve infrastructure of the golf course for propoer functionality and maintenance efficiency, to take necessary erosion control measures to protect the environment and the golf course, to improve playing conditions by re-grassing the entire golf course with updated turf grass species and to replace turf grass in out-of-play areas with native grasses to create "no-mow" zones, which lessen maintenance efforts and cost.  We were the recipients of the 2011 Legacy Award for Best Renovation Project given by Golf Course Industry for our renovation of Army Navy Country Club.
